The Artpop ball rolled into Perth Arena on this fateful Wednesday to showcase the pizzazz of the one and only Lady Gaga. Embracing the pride, body paint, glitter, wigs and individual style, the doting little monsters prepared themselves for an #artRAVE.

Mother Monster glammed the ice themed stage wearing a bedazzled long sleave leotard embellished with large golden wings. She had not come to tempestuously perform; she had come to express her art and she expected you to be part of it.

It was the ultimate experience of art pop with a live band and covet worthy dancers.

“Dance you mother f*****” was the catch phrase of the night. Exclaimed from the real depth of her throat, you could tell that Gaga believed in exhorting her celebration for creative freedom.

Hungry to feed on the liberation, ravers waved their glow sticks, threw their hands in the air and thrusted their hips to the empowering and body enticing tunes of Just Dance, Poker Face & Telephone.

Costume change after costume change saw an array of wigs, blonde, black, green, multi-coloured, short, long, curly. Why stay with one hairstyle when you can have six in the space of two hours? Or why not even have a costume change on stage and strip down to nothing but fish net tights. It’s Lady Gaga, quite simply being herself.

Yes, it was a show but when it was reduced to GaGa raw, with her keyboard and singing acapela, this was the moment you got a glimpse into the heart of this inspiring woman. And boy – can she sing!

Dope, a song motivated by addiction and purgatory was dedicated to those who struggled to speak about depression. Really Gaga’s message is not one of rebellion but of audacity and empowerment for her fans to embrace their uniqueness.

Mid Born This Way the mother revealed she had some special guests in the crowd, none other than rock legends Queen who are set to start their Australian tour at the Arena on Friday. Bearing her humility she exclaimed, “Queen are at my show.”

Next, meet bunny ear wearing, Olivia, who threw a letter on stage to her Mother Monster. Touched by the words of affirmation for Gaga’s cause, Olivia was invited for a meet and greet after the show. A little monster’s dream!

Alejandro and Bad Romance saw the final minutes of the rave before a white glory angel encore of Artpop threw the anthem to a close.

Some may say that Lady Gaga is a freak but they would be wrong. Lady GaGa is perfectly and rightfully an artist.
